Community Service Overview "Corporate Tithing"
Calling his program "Corporate Tithing," Curry has presented seminars and lectures about the responsibilities local businesses have in giving a percentage of their profits back to the community.
"The only reason we've lasted for eighty-eight years is because the community has supported us," comments Curry, "so it's important for us to give something back in order to make Bloomington a better place."Curry Buick is a major underwriter of many charitable causes in Bloomington, but is especially supportive of the community's art venues.
The dealership was one of the largest benefactors in the restoration of the Indiana Theatre and was also the first major supporter of the Indiana University Auditorium, which brings first-run, quality productions to the area. Generous contributions are also made to the Boys and Girls Clubs, the Bloomington Hospital & Healthcare System, Wonderlab, the United Way, and numerous other charities that raise funds for schools and children's causes.
