Curry Auto Center And Facebook Friends Help Support Monroe County Community Schools

During our recent Facebook campaign, around 500 people became friends of Curry Auto Center, with $1 per friend donated to the Monroe County Community Schools to purchase library books. We matched the funds, and Cary Curry has presented Tina Peterson, President of the MCCSC Foundation, with a check for $1,000. Thank you for joining in this effort to support our schools!

Calling his program "Corporate Tithing," Curry has presented seminars and lectures about the responsibilities local businesses have in giving a percentage of their profits back to the community.

"The only reason we've lasted for eighty-eight years is because the community has supported us," comments Curry, "so it's important for us to give something back in order to make IN a better place." Curry Buick is a major underwriter of many charitable causes in IN, but is especially supportive of the community's art venues. The dealership was one of the largest benefactors in the restoration of the Indiana Theatre and was also the first major supporter of the Indiana University Auditorium, which brings first-run, quality productions to the area. Generous contributions are also made to the Boys and Girls Clubs, the IN Hospital & Healthcare System, Wonderlab, the United Way, and numerous other charities that raise funds for schools and children's causes.
